[ Days in Haven have been pretty busy lately - first the chaos with all those kidnapped people returning, and now that weird new area opening - but the nights are still as quiet as ever, Ange finds. And without Senji in the next bed over to harass like in the apartments, Ange suddenly almost feels a little lonely in her room in the new housing.
Not that she'd ever admit that, of course. It's much easier to just excuse the fact she's randomly browsing through the pictures of the people in Haven on her phone by telling herself she can't sleep anyway.
And while others might consider calling someone you haven't spoken to in ages all of a sudden in the middle of the night desperate, that's at least one concern that doesn't even cross Ange's mind when she decides to ring up Jean at literally 2 am. ]
Hey. [ At least Ange has mastered the art of sounding entirely casual no matter the circumstances.. ] Are you asleep?
[ When the message starts, rather than words, there's nothing but vivacious laughter and the furious clicking of her heels against the floor. She sounds out of breath, even her hands are even shaking a bitβ ]
